Qualified as a multi-instrumentalist - I hold a DipABRSM diploma in violin performance, alongside three Grade 8 qualifications in piano, singing and music theory. I also hold a first class degree in BA Music (hons) and a Masters degree in Music Therapy.

Encouraging and accessible, no matter your needs - With a therapeutic background, I know not everyone learns in the same way. I have multiple teaching styles and can adapt to meet your needs. Highly experienced teaching SEN students.

Resources readily available - I provide different learning resources, from note recognition tasks to technique exercises, to strengthen both playing and theory skills.

What to expect?

Lesson length? Weekly 60 minutes or 45 minutes sessions

Where? At your home or my studio in North Tyneside

DBS? Yes! I hold an enhanced DBS certificate

Exams? I offer an exam pathway (ABRSM) or a skills pathway, depending on your goals

Group lessons? Individual lessons are preferred, but sibling lessons may be considered

Schools? I teach peripatetic violin in schools around the North East, and will gladly take on more!
